The Secret Behind French Eating Manners

For a country with citizens who constantly lavish rich dishes like steaks and pastries every single fare, it is quite surprising that France never showed up on the high cholesterol, fatty list that America of burgers and fries consistently place a rank in. Many kibitzers tirelessly attempt to reveal the secrets of a French diet but in the end, they usually find out that it is actually the country's devotion for food which helps its people prevent gaining excessive weight and acquiring unwanted calories.

The French citizens save a very good approach towards eating ever since, never considering it a guilty pleasure nor a mere chore. They are also not too involved about counting the calories they compile or how much exercise they needed to burn what they have eaten. It seems then that staying slim the French way is all about enjoying banquets, ignoring the calories, living without activity exhaustion, and making the right judgments. Being the fashion capital of the world is also a cause that is most likely doing wonders to the French people because their ego keep them from going beyond the weight borders by staying on the slim side to be fit enough to wear everything they see on catwalks and boutiques.

A Very Short Excursion in an Impressive Island

When I had a whole month for a France vacation, I swiftly wanted to spend it in island hopping. Spending at least three days in each island, I assumed I could maximize my whole stay unraveling the tradition, tourist spots, and delicacies. My former stop was Corsica Island, a site of as much as twenty mountains and several lakes.

Being a mountainous terrain, walking, hiking, and mountain biking are the most prominent endeavors other than swimming. So, I wasted no instance and allotted a whole day in exactly going up and down a mountain. With this, I was guaranteed that I lost numerous calories and pounds; after all, hiking is approved by medical professionals.

Corsica locals are lovers of cultural values, maintaining their tradition and festivities intact. Imagine a progressive French playing and listening to the fantastic music of traditional instruments and chants. Also, part of the Corsican values is keeping the natural grace of the whole island, so nature reserves and national parks are established and inevitably amaze many tourists from around the globe. The Corsican traditional delicacies as well entice many voyagers, from roasted boar and original red wine to local cheese.

Actually, Corsica Island is an authentic quest. I was just particularly unhappy when I left because I realized a three-day stay was not sufficient to discover the island better.

Kickoff The New Day With A Sumptuous French Breakfast

I gaze out the window, I see a beautiful sunny morning with fluffy clouds and clear blue skies, and remember my trip in the heart of Paris. To let you have the same gastronomical feeling I had, I will give you brief view of it.

I had the Pain au chocolat, heated bread with goat cheese and apricot preserves, cafe au lait, and chocolat chaud. The first serving was the Pain au chocolat which is inherently a chocolate wrapped in a pastry. It is averagely effortless to prepare as you will only use a pre-packed frozen puff pastry and put chocolate in it before baking. As with the toast, you know the job, is toast a bread and generously spread apricot preserves and goat cheese on it but please use a walnut bread for a healthier feel. Cafe au lait is a latte with rugged drip brewed French pressed coffee with milk, which is regularly substituted for an Espresso. And lastly, chocolat chaud which is usually a hot chocolate to complete the entire meal.

If you have understood, I did not recommend les croissants because it came from Austria, and thus, it is not an genuine French food. Nonetheless, it has become a bit of the French life.

The Pop Outlines of Pierre Cardin

Pierre Cardin is just one of the many French designers whom the fashion world has grown to love because of his fantastic geometric outlines, which are still in existence in the present-day. Although Cardin made his mark during the 1950s, his wonderful trend sense and influence is the inspiration of many budding clothes-makers and models as well. His shapeless women's fashion of the 1950s, which was then translated to the unisex line, is one of the most well-known foundations of the international trend albeit its being non-practical most of the time.

At the height of Cardin's vibrant career, he entrenched Japan as a fashion hub, something that no other designer of that time dare do. He has also kept his Paris marts always filled with new collections, most of which were introduced lately to a picked audience of linked groups of clients and fashion journalists. Today, Pierre Cardin is no longer just a trend guru but a big-named capitalist with the chain of Maxim's Hotels and restaurants under his ownership. He has also molded Espace Cardin from a mere catwalk show site to a skillful entertainment hub that features musicals and stage plays performed by the artistic talents of actors and musicians he would like all the world to see.

A Day On Holiday In the Capital of Wine

France is celebrated for a lot of goods: cheese, Eiffel Tower, fashion, castles, Marie Antoinette, baguette, exotic cuisine, Perrier, a whole lot more, and wine! Bordeaux, city capital of Aquitaine, France, is celebrated as the city of cocktail. This capital is one of the largest in France with over 660,000 people and also has the biggest college. Because of the huge population, this capital is highly tolerant of many liberated ideas, and yet, it has managed to maintain its relaxed aura. I presume that is one of the reasons why Bordeaux is explored by many tourists all-year-round.

A fair place to stay in while enjoying the cocktail is at the Hotel Kyriad Prestige Merignac Bordeaux . The hotel is just outside the Bordeaux city center, approximately 10 kilometers away, so you can delight in the Aquitaine region in its true magnificence. But, the hotel is still almost close to the airport and financial center. Among the countenance of the hotel's rooms and suites are: air-conditioning, direct dial phone, mini bar, trouser press, cable/satellite television, private bathroom, hair dryer, and a inviolable deposit box. The three-star hotel also has meeting location, strengthening and sauna center, bars, restaurants, and swimming pools.
