There has been a constant prey for the French lifestyle, which is believed to be the true grounds behind the statistics that say only seven percent of the French population are obese as against the 24 percent of America. Critics believe that the French people's penchant with cigarette is the thing that completes the puzzle pertaining to the thin, sexy, and healthy legend. Nevertheless, the American Cancer Society shows data that show similarity in the numbers of smokers in France and America.

The French Diet, which is focused not in particular food types but in the contentment of eating small amounts of the rich, tasty food combined with an moving lifestyle, is the real deal. French women do not count calories as crazily as their American counterparts do because their way of life is about enjoying all the good things in moderation and keeping a striking harmony between desires and limitations. They may chow down rich, high fat foods but on the flip side, they terminate snack foods and walk considerable miles. France: An Ideal and Awesome Place on Earth

Hailed as one of the most romantic sites on Earth, France is definitely on top of every European cross country traveler's list. Known for its romanticized setting, stunning fashion sense, exquisite dining, and vibrant cultural wealth France has always been the dream destination of most tourists.

It is positively recommendable that you got to France during spring which is approximately from May to June. I got the experience of wandering to France during the latter part of July, and I must say, most of the city proper are surprisingly desolate like that of a ghost town in general Western films. I later on recognized that most people like to take their yearly five week's vacation in the mountains. This unexpected exodus of majority of the people forces many shops to close down, and all that's left waiting for you are lonely pubs and apartments which make you feel like the last surviving man on earth.

So, to insure that you would get most of your expedition in France, better go there during Spring, for the country holds tons of events during that season. One of these events is the prominent Fashion Week that takes place in early February. The month of May entails the launching of the Annual Cannes Film Festival while a festive parade commemorating the fall of Bastille in 1789 happens on July with outdoor parades and remarkable fireworks display to cap off the exciting activities.

A Scorching French Stew For A Private Dinner

French cuisine is primarily known to be sophisticated, elegant, diverse, and discriminating. Various people falsely assume that French cuisine can only be cooked by true-blue French people, and any attempts made by a foreigner or by someone less than a master chef could prove to be a devastation to the kitchen. Therefore, these food can only be found in the most pricey restaurants, where a meal is not complete without a flask of vintage wine.

In the varying regions in France, the pot-au-feu, or literally the pot on the fire, is the classical, yet simple way of cooking a beef stew that is a favorite throughout the land. Similar to the Hot Pot and Oden, the pot-au-feu gained a following from people who enjoy full and tasteful meals. There may be certain variations to the ingredients, but at its most basic, this dish contains cuts of economical cuts of beef, assorted choice of fresh vegetables, and a collection of herbs and spices to season. Best served with a bottle of wine, the pot-au-feu is a tasteful meal that is best enjoyed with company during celebrations, especially during the cold nights. Delicatessens have commercialized and homemade variations that is popularly appreciated by tourists and local citizens alike.

The Legend of Superb Luggage Live On with Louis Vuitton

I was out shopping the other day and I saw this really adorable Mother-and-child duo walking down the hustling sidewalk. The youthful boy wasn't older than five but he looked so formal and stately next to his equally chic mommy. From a distance, you'd think they were just some snobby out-of-towners shopping for groceries or really classy furniture. But up close, you can see every piece of garment they had on with the distinguished LV logo. Was there a new LV campaign that I didn't know about, or were some people just too snooty to forget the feelings of others?

Louis Vuitton, rarely mentioned with the word "Mallatier" as of late, has definitely put a lot of wood into the fiery world of existing fashion. Famous personalities and insanely affluent individuals have at least one item from the LV collection, which only makes other people ache for one of their own. Especially famous for its Monogram canvas, LV bags, luggage, and accessories have been considered to be peerless.

The 17th-century Parisian trunk-maker has definitely become a staple in the world of fashion and present-day mod. When you spot Gisele Bundchen or Uma Thurman hurl that LV bag over their shoulders, you'd wish you were them -- or at least own an LV bag like theirs.

Royal Treatment in a Regal Hotel

The purpose of a holiday, I believe, is to get away as much as possible from distressing and stress-inducing situations. That is why whenever I'm planning to have a retreat, I want it to be as glitch-free as possible. Call me a perfectionist, but I loathe encountering even minor hitches on my travel plans. I'm not filthy rich, but sometimes, I don't mind shelling out thousands of cash if it means that I will have a pleasurable experience and a great time. That's why when a good colleague of mine invited me on a trip to Amboise, France I immediately told her that we should stay in one of those majestic chateaus that I saw over the Internet.

If you're a Cinderella or a Prince Charming wannabe, the Chateau de Pray in Amboise, France will definitely make you feel like crowned heads. At least that's what I felt when I first marched into this hotel's reception area. Even though I was wearing slack khaki pants and a T-shirt that time, I felt like I was caught in the fabulous Medieval era. Apart from the modern features like phone and Internet access, the entire room my friend and I occupied was decked in elegant Medieval-like decorations and furnishings. I had the best time in Amboise not only because of the plush accommodations the Chateau de Pray provided us, but because of the royal-like treatment we got from the warm hotel staff.
