Delectable Berries Gratin as Well-Known French Dessert

Have you ever heard of the trivial quip that says, sweetness can kill? I think so, too, especially if you suffer from diabetes or is intimidated to add extra weight -- all because of your sweet tooth. I tried as hard as I can to rebuff the sweet temptation, but I always fall deep into my guilty pleasures for mouthwatering desserts. For me, the main course will never be complete without the after meal delight that drains the heavy feeling from a rewarding cuisine. Lucky for me, I finally uncovered a way not to resist the temptation but at least, to lay my hands off the over-coated delicious desserts.

At a pub near the Eiffel Tower, I ordered the berries gratin from the menu and was satisfied to know that fruits and not pure sugar are in this French dessert. I relished the fruity fillings of fresh raspberries and cherries that made way for a soft sensation to my mouth. I love the colorful combination but much more, the fine mix of flavors because of the sour cream and the vanilla syrup. Opposites do attract when what you have is a sweet and sour perfection from this sumptuous French cakes and pastries. Of course, I can't have berries gratin all the time, so I try to get easy on the carbs and normally have fresh slices of fruits as nutrient-rich alternatives.
