I must declare that growing up as a Catholic took me to towns I've never imagined. This is because I get to join visits several places in different times of the year. For one, earlier this year, I was blessed to be able to join a group certain for Lourdes, France for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. But surprisingly, that phase occurred to be only a part of the whole French experience.
When we arrived in Paris, our first stopover, the first conclusion that came into my mind was to eat. I just ate throughout the three-hour or so flight that I was very hungry upon landing. But the trouble didn't stop there -- I was afraid of eating at the airport restaurants. In short, I became distraught with how am I gonna appease my reverberation tummy.
Fortunately, I was bailed out by my groupmates when they decided to go and eat in a cafe downtown -- rather far away from the perimeters of the airport. There, I got a amazement of all surprises -- I found toasts– French toasts with a twist - that is there was a male and female query though, remains to me until this time: Why the categorizing? I tried asking denizens in the locality but to no avail -- oh well, I guess that's the catch why the French toast is so popular.
