Conventional Eating Routine in France
I appreciate France not just because of its attractive tourist sites but also because of the abundance of mouthwatering food and desserts. When my friend and I visited the place last year, we were treated to a day of delicious banquet – from a traditional French breakfast up to a delectable dinner at a popular French restaurant. The incident taught me how the usual French people eat their meals everyday.
France's normal day begins with a light breakfast in the morning that constitutes a bread abundant with jam, sandwich spreads, or breakfast cereals. Then, they will indulge in freshly brewed coffee, tea, any chocolate flavored milk, together with some fruit or fruit juice and sometimes with luscious viennoiseries, also known as croissants. Croissants are usually eaten during the weekends when people have ample time to go to the bakery store and pay for them.
Lunch and dinner, on the other hand, are distinct from place to place -- dinner in northern France is usually between 7:30 am to 8:30 pm while it is usually after 8:30 pm in the Southern France. Dinner in the overloaded spots are usually around 10:00 to 11:00 in the evening and it consists an appetizer like a salad, a main dish, some cheese, and dessert.
